In August 2007 we began a pre-school for needy families from our community who could not afford sending their children to local pre-schools. We began with 23 children and presently have 58 at “Little Feet” Pre school.

We are currently involved in strategic planning around our work into the community. At present our preschool “Little Feet” is addressing the need of a quality affordable education opportunity for 3-5 year olds, thereby providing in an acute area of need in the community. It is our desire to be involved in creating income generating projects for caregivers of OVC’s in the village community around us. This will involve setting up training opportunities at our centre as well as an outlet for selling of goods made by these community workers. At the same time we will be looking at possibilities of training in the areas of Home-based care, discipleship and mentoring as well as Psychosocial support.

A further project being looked at is in the area of opening our existing clinic for inoculations and HIV testing and treatment. The clinic will be manned by trained nursing personnel qualified to administer these health related services to children in the community around us. These projects are all being planned to be established within the first quarter of 2009.
